I usually preface my reviews with the fact I write based on my emotions, how the book made me feel, etc..I'm not going to write a thesis about the story--YOU need to experience it. If you enjoy any books I've loved, you will love this. I always read other people's reviews that are like minded...so there you go. Now, let's begin.HoooooolEEEE crap!!!!---Possible Spoilers---
I was SOOO excited to finally get the moment to sit down and read the conclusion. I sure wasn't prepared for the ride that evil Lucian Bane had in store for me. He comes across as such a great guy! Well....I beg to differ....
I expect, like the monsters under your bed, that Abraham is going to come out of nowhere. That doesn't happen--quite the opposite. That's all I'll say about him but I absolutely love what Kade did for Sade during their Abe time. I was sickened with the description and after having the AHA moment, it took me by surprise. Lucian DOES have a soul AND a heart!!!
Mercy--Lord have Mercy...but wow. What she does to convince Sade he is worthy. The patience, the fear, the risks! You did good!! Love her techniques as well. Very sensual. What a great conclusion to such a dark relationship, or what started out that way.
I love that there aren't 100 characters that you have to keep track of who's who in the zoo type of book. The characters are all important and intricate to the storyline. They are tentacles of an octopus to draw you into their arms. I love that!
The last part of the story was NO EFFING WAY! SUPER surprise and I won't spoil it or the ending. It really took me a couple of hours after I read the book to decompress. It's a LOT to absorb. The level of abuse brought onto Sade in his childhood, both he and Mercy the pain and suffering but for them to heal each other. It kinda takes a lot out of you but it's SOOOO worth it!! The world isn't filled with daisies and princesses. There is darkness in the world. Just turn on your news. But when you can see the light and come OUT of that darkness, like what Lucian does, it's worth the journey.
I did feel, after I read this, I needed to go get a coloring book and color unicorns and ponies and make sparkly things!!!
I LOVED the series.

In book three we learn more about Sade and we get to see into his soul, his life and what really happened to him. I really loved the idea of the “family” being together. When Mercy tries to help Sade with all of the issues it only pushes him further away. There were so many issues he needed to face that I worried he would not make it. Mercy never the quitter keeps pushing. Will she ever be able to reach the loving man deep inside of him? God I sure hoped so. What about Abraham? Will they find him before he finds them? Sade’s father? Will the torment ever stop? What Sade went through as a child is the most vile thing a child could ever endure, yet he did. I adore Sade, his strength, his love for Mercy, his family, and yet no love for himself. Will he ever love himself?
I love when I read a series and at times get so lost in the story, holding my breath, gripping my tablet too tight and ignoring the real world around me. Sometimes there are those that you read and stick with you for awhile. I think Sade and Mercy will be sticking around with me for awhile.
I really hope you give this very enticingly emotional roller coaster series a chance. I am glad I did. Happy reading )
I waited a while before reading this last installment, mostly because I didn't want this story to end! I am totally in love with the characters Mercy and Sade. As tough as Sade seems, he's like candy, he's hard on the outside, and somewhere inside is a soft chewy center.
We last left "No Mercy" on a major cliffhanger, now, in this last installment we move on after the big news from book 2....Abraham!
For the first half of the book as Mercy is trying to help Sade through his issues, and Sade does what he does - he fights her help...I kept yelling - Sade! STOP being such a DUMMY!!
We also find out the terrible things Sade had to endure as a child, when he was Johnathon - the things that made Johnathon into Sade.
The banter that goes on between Sade and Mercy are definitely humorous....totally made me love them both more, but especially Sade! He was frustrating me, as he frustrated Mercy because Sade just has a twisted sense of himself. We see his inner struggle, and you can really feel his angst. But Mercy knows better, she's sure there's a good man buried deep inside.
There are some fabulously written parts where we get insight into Sade, which makes you fall in love with this broken man even more. Oh Mr. Bane, these touching moments are brilliant and heart wrenching. This series may be dark, but I loved it so much it's like a being wrapped in a big cozy throw (I know that probably doesn't make sense to many). I would totally love more Sade and Mercy!!
I absolutely loved the conclusion of Mercy and Sade's story. Lucian Bane had me on an emotional roller coaster throughout the entire book. He managed to break my heart and then put it back together multiple times with great character development and awesome writing. Just when I thought that I couldn't take any more of this emotional abuse, BOOM you end the story with a surprise that brought tears to my eyes. What a wonderful read! Perhaps Mr. Bane will write a spin off series with a certain couple (wink wink)
